I have been the Center’s Manager of the Sponsored Research Office (SRO) and Authorized Organizational Representative for Government Awards since 2015. The SRO supports the Woodwell Climate research community by identifying government funding opportunities, establishing policies related to sponsored program funding, and serving as a formal liaison to sponsors on administrative changes throughout the life of the awards.
Our office oversees a diverse portfolio of awards and delivers expertise in federal grant management and compliance. In my role, I assist with planning, organization, and management of deadlines to oversee the life-cycle of federal contracts and grants. This includes subawards, consultancy agreements, and coordinating pre- and post-award processes.
It is also my responsibility to provide support in interpreting, applying, and ensuring compliance with donor obligations, organizational policies, and industry best practices. It is an honor and a privilege to receive funds in support of our work and Woodwell Climate is committed to ensuring those funds are stewarded with excellence and integrity.
Prior to my role in Sponsored Research, I was the Project Manager of the Amazon Program at the Center. I assisted the project team with grant administration, budget management, international logistics, travel support, and meeting/workshop orchestration.
Previously, I was employed by the Agriculture Department in the County of Santa Cruz, California.
I received my B.S. in Plant and Soil Science from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
