I assist in preparing and measuring soil and water samples for multiple projects in the Soil Carbon and Water programs. One of the main goals of this work is to make estimating the properties of soils less expensive and more accessible, facilitating more routine measurement of soils for applications including soil carbon and soil health monitoring.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in marine biology and aquaculture at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where I worked on varied marine projects from plankton cultures, to squid and eel physiology. In my spare time, I enjoy fishing, gardening, and hiking with my wife and dog.
