David Fernandez is a Google.org Fellow working on the Permafrost Discovery Gateway project. At Google, Fernandez works as a Software Engineer for the Physical Automation team where he focuses on enabling robotics and automation solutions to help scale Google’s growing datacenter fleet.
Fernandez is originally from the Dominican Republic but has been working for Google in the Seattle area for the past 2.5 years. Before joining Google, he first came to the United States to study at the Georgia Institute of Technology where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in computational perception and robotics.
Fernandez is an avid lover of the outdoors and is excited to use his computer science knowledge for the good of the environment.
