Ms. Connie Rogers Roosevelt worked in publishing for 30 years and was a Senior Editor at William Morrow. She has traveled widely to tropical forests in Africa, Asia, and South America and written extensively on endangered primates and ecotourism for the Science and Travel sections of the New York Times and for a number of travel magazines.

Ms. Roosevelt has an M.A. in Conservation Biology from Columbia University and founded the Primate Partnerships Fund, a small grants program for local capacity building in primate habitat countries. She has served on a number of non-profit boards including The Brooklyn Museum and the New York State board of The Nature Conservancy.
