Woodwell Climate’s Risk team performs a variety of climate analyses in order to deliver comprehensive risk assessments, many of them through the Just Access initiative.
The Climate Risk Viewer is a data visualization tool that displays many of the Risk team’s open access and open source data on a world map. Users can explore and compare local to global patterns of climate risks modeled in a world with temperatures 1.5℃ above and 2℃ above the global average. The tool includes variables for drought, hot days, lethal heat, annual precipitation, sea level rise, annual temperature, tropical cyclones, warm nights, and wildfires.
