We’ve been a central voice in the climate conversation since the beginning. In fact, we helped start it. Our founder, Dr. George Woodwell testified at the first Congressional hearing on climate change. He and the Center’s early staff played integral roles in the creation of both the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change—the scientific body and treaty that underpin international climate negotiations.
We have been at every COP, and this year, we’re gearing up for our most substantial presence ever. We’ll be convening partners and policymakers from around the world for nine days of conversations that accelerate progress and move us toward urgently needed solutions. The momentum starts with our open house (Nov. 30) and welcome reception (Dec. 1).
You can find us at our meeting and presentation space: Zone B7, Building 87, Opportunity District, Thematic Area 4 (see map).
